A murder suspect in Centre County could soon be entering a guilty plea.
On Thursday Charles McGhee is scheduled for a conference at the Centre County Court and the District Attorney’s office said he’s expected to enter a guilty plea.
In June, McGhee allegedly beat his wife to death in their Bellefonte home and lit a fire to cover it up.
He’s facing charges including first degree murder, aggravated arson, along with other felony and misdemeanor charges.
He was initially set for a criminal trial and those charges were bound over, but the DA’s office says he’s expected to enter his plea and be sentenced immediately on Thursday afternoon.
The DA’s office didn’t elaborate on how much time McGhee is facing.
WTAJ will be in the courtroom Thursday with the latest details.
