Multiple crews are on scene of a house fire in Centre County.
We’re told the home is on the 100 block of Loch Lomond road in Rush Township.
According to officials, the fire broke out before 10:30 a.m. There were three people inside the house at the time of the fire and all three were able to safely leave the house from a side door. Two people were taken to the hospital and treated for smoke inhalation.
There were two dogs in the house that did not survive the fire.
The Philipsburg Fire Chief said that most of the damage was done to the rear of the house, and they believe the fire started on the first floor and worked it’s way up to the roof.
One firefighter was also injured while responding to this fire when he cut his hand. He was taken to the hospital.
The Fire Marshal has been called to the scene and the cause of the fire is still under investigation.
We have a crew on the way and will bring you updates as more information becomes available.
