Moyer Jewelers announces closing date

After 69 years in business, Moyer Jewelers in State College will close its doors on Saturday, December 29. The store initially announced they were closing after this holiday season in October.

The company recently awarded a $500 shopping spree to the customer that had the oldest receipt saved from the store, which dated back to 1959. We’re told it was for a men’s silver I-D bracelet that sold for just $4.95.

While no jewelry store can match that price now, Moyer’s will continue a going-out-of-business sale until their closing.

They have not announced any parties interested in taking over the space.
