CRESSON, CAMBRIA COUNTY, Pa. (WTAJ) — Mount Aloysius College has won the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference “Peak Performance Award for Academic Excellence.”
This award is presented annually to the institution in this 10-college conference with the highest percentage of student-athletes winning a place on the AMCC Academic Honor Roll. The Mounties placed 62.23% of their student-athletes on the team.
Mount Aloysius College President John Mills expressed his pride for the success of student-athletes in and out of the classroom.
“Winning games and matches is wonderful and we all cheer for our Mountie teams. However, success in the classroom is the goal of everyone
at Mount Aloysius College. This award shows the dedication and hard work by our student-athletes and coaches.”
Mount Aloysius College has a total of 188 student-athletes with an overall GPA of 3.38. The men’s tennis team had the highest overall GPA at 3.79.
