Mount Aloysius launched two new degree programs Monday.

The Cresson-based college launched their new degree programs in Cybersecurity Operations and Digital Forensic Investigations. A new Cybersecurity and Digital Forensics research lab was also renovated to give students real-life experience.

Alumni, local businesses, and program faculty spoke at the event. Guests also toured the new lab and spoke with faculty and staff about the new majors.

A recent Mount Aloysius graduate, who now works with the FBI, spoke at the event. “When I went to Quantico (the FBI training center), I recognized the applications I will use in my career are the same as those I had in my classes at Mount Aloysius,” said Bryan Jordan, class of 2017.

Both the bachelor’s and associate’s degree programs include technical preparation with theory and career and business skills, like communication.
