Have you ever wondered how milk from the cow makes it’s way to your refrigerator? Wednesday morning, our Jordan Tracy made a stop in Loretto, Cambria County to help answer that question.
He participated in morning chores at Vale Wood Farms and learned about their dairy processing. The farm milks 200 cows twice a day and processes three days a week. The milk produced in the day, gets delivered to your door the next day. It’s the fresh “Moo to You” process that the farm has practiced for generations.
Director of Business Development Carissa Itle Westrick explained, “This is a really unique experience. I’m a part of the 4th generation of our family business and we’re so honored to have the ability to provide local families, for generations as well, with milk and dairy products. “
