EBENSBURG, CAMBRIA COUNTY, Pa. (WTAJ) — On Friday, first responders in Cambria County showed high school students the dangers of driving under the influence.

Crews from Cloverfield, Dauntless, and Revloc Fire Companies responded to a mock car crash at Central Cambria.

Student actors were a part of the reenactment to show their classmates what happens during a drunk driving accident.

The Engine Captain of one of the fire companies said they do this every year to try to prevent these crashes from happening.

“We’re hoping it’s a good impact because we don’t wanna be out there tomorrow night after their prom…picking them up off the side of the road, and having their classmates, their relatives, their friends to see them like that,” Brian Neilson, Engine Captain at Dauntless Fire Company, said.

The fire companies also wanted to warn the students of the dangers of using drugs and getting behind the wheel.
