People of all ages put their skills to the test while exploring a marsh in Centre County.
The Millbrook Marsh Nature Center held its annual ABC Scavenger Hunt.
For those that might not know, a marsh is a wetland that’s usually treeless and dominated by plants that like water.
While hunting for things A to Z, the main goal of the hunt was to get people involved with nature and to learn something new.
“These things are kind of important just to get people out in nature and see things they might not see everyday…before I worked here, I knew of marshes but I never knew what marshes were really like. And so, it’s cool to see these ecosystems and interact with nature, so that people have a better appreciation for nature,” intern Kylie Orndorf said.
The Millbrook Marsh Nature Center will host “Centered Outdoors” next Sunday from 2-5 p.m.
