A fatal industrial accident in Washington, D.C. took the life of a Somerset County native.
On Tuesday, two CSX transportation employees were inspecting a train, when they were struck by an oncoming Amtrak train, killing 25-year old Jake Lafave from Cumberland, Maryland and 20-year old Stephen Deal from Meyersdale.
The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner ruled the incident an accident, but the National Transportation and Safety Board is investigating.
