Messages of motivation are popping up in Johnstown.
It’s all thanks to Riley Allen and Vicky Longsinger. The two created five billboards. They all have different sayings, but the same message.
“We were like lets just get something out there that will inspire people that are having a bad day that they can look at a billboard and say ‘oh I needed that,'” Vicky Longsinger from the Inspire Johnstown Billboard Project said.
Their mission is to spread positivity throughout the area. They want to inspire others to see the good in life.
“It makes me happy to see that our project is helping people and bringing them happiness,” Riley Allen said. “A lot of people are saying they saw it and it brightened their day and they knew they were meant to see it.”
The billboards are placed on busy roads so they’re seen by many. The phrases offer words of encouragement and are a reminder that things are looking up.
“it kind of tears you up thinking that someone is actually reading it and someone is actually getting something out of it,” Longsinger said.
The billboards will only be up until the beginning of September.
