Today Marines were handing out Christmas cheer to kids in our region.
Donations were distributed for the Toys for Tots program. Organizers handed out donations, about 3,000 toys to kids in Blair County.
The effort is a combination of U.S. Marines, volunteers, and donations from generous community members.
“So much generosity, everybody gave their time, their toys, they gave monetary donations and made this possible. Today we are giving over 4,500 kids toys,” Staff Sgt. Mehmet Bayar said.
This is year this 70th year for Toys for Tots.
