An Altoona man accused of shooting and killing his friend has learned how long he will spend behind bars.
Michael Corle was arrested last September after police say he accidentally shot William Callan in the head with a revolver at a 2nd Avenue home.
According to the Altoona Mirror, Corle plead guilty yesterday to charges of aggravated assault and tampering with evidence.
He was sentenced to between 58 and 116 months behind bars.
The paper also reports that Corle thought his sentence was acceptable.
He reportedly said to the Judge that Callan was “like a brother to him” and that his actions were “inexcusable.”
