According to Cambria County Coroner Jeff Lees, a man died Thursday after a snowboarding accident at Seven Springs.

The victim is 35-year-old Matthew Camacho-Cook from Crescent.

The accident happened on December 27 at 11:30 a.m.

Camacho-Cook was snowboarding with his family when he went down a slope, fell and hit his head on the ground. He was wearing a helmet.

He was taken by ambulance to Conemaugh Hospital where he died Thursday from a head injury.

Coroner Lees has ruled the death an accident.
