An Elk County man faces charges after a standoff with police on Christmas Eve.
According to the criminal complaint, St. Marys Police were dispatched to 500 West Creek Rd. in St. Marys for a domestic dispute.
The documents say when police arrived they found a woman bleeding from her head– saying she was hit by Joshua Earl Cool.
Police said Cool locked himself in the house and would not come out.The woman informed police of weapons inside the house.
According to the complaint, police entered the house and found Cool with a pistol.
When Cool wouldn’t drop the gun, police attempted to use a taser on him.
Police say Cool escaped the house through a window where police where able to catch and arrest him.
Cool was taken to Elk County Prison and faces charges for simple assault, resisting arrest and harassment.
