In Huntingdon, a man has been arrested for making pipe bombs in his apartment.
Police were informed about the items by a Confidential Informant who knew Rawlings, on October 11th.
When they arrived, police evacuated two residents in neighboring apartments.
Police discovered two pipe bombs and disarmed them.
Huntingdon County District Attorney Dave Smith said they worked together with the Penn State Bomb Squad to asses the danger of the bombs before evacuating residents.
“We don’t know what motivated the individual to make these items, but we believe based upon the information given to us by the experts, if these things had been deployed, they were designed to cause severe damage,” said Smith.
Rawlings is currently in the Huntingdon County Jail awaiting trial on previous drug charges.
