Police in Huntingdon County are investigating after a woman was allegedly assaulted, strangled, and kidnapped.

According to state police, on November 5th, Dalton Shade pushed a woman onto a bed in his Petersburg home and started choking her.

Later that day, when the woman told Shade she had called for a ride home, he allegedly attacked her and began choking her from behind.

After that police say he threatened to kill her and her family, and forced her into his vehicle, before driving off.

We’re told the victim escaped and called police when Shade stopped at a convenience store.

This morning he is behind bars at the Huntingdon County Jail.
