A local veteran killed in a motorcycle accident laid to rest.
William “Billy” Garber, 23, died in a motorcycle crash in Colorado on August 31.
The Altoona native’s body was escorted back home Saturday.
Garber was a 2013 Central High School graduate and joined the Air Force in 2014.
He received multiple honors including the Air Force Achievement Medal and the Global War on Terrorism Service Medal.
Garber’s funeral was held Monday at 11 a.m.
Instead of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Pennsylvania Wounded Warriors.
