The We Care Therapy Services in Altoona now has more resources to help patients who suffer from neurological disorders.

They received their second Giger machine Friday.

The machine is only found in three places in the country, California, Florida, and in Altoona.

It puts patients on their backs and teaches them to pedal in a steady rhythm.

“it works on bio-feed back in the brain,” said Stacy Dubois, the director of the movement program at We Care. “So, when the individual lays on the table, it has them move and measure their rhythm, and their harmonics, and from when they get off the table, they move more coordinated.”

Patients have said they can see major improvements in their movement after only three treatments.
