A famous local singer is helping out a stray dog who shares a very special connection.

Josh Gallagher, the Cresson-native and The Voice star, is helping raise money to pay for a stray dog’s medical bills.

“Gallagher” the dog was picked up by the Cambria County Humane Society with a broken leg. The hound dog needed surgery.

The humane society reached out to Josh Gallagher for help. The singer posted on his Facebook page, asking for donations to cover Gallagher the dog’s medical bills.

“I’ve also noticed online donations filtering in to help with Gallagher’s medical expenses. Even Josh Gallagher himself made a donation to help us with Gallagher,” said Jessica Vamos, the executive director of the Cambria County Humane Society.

So far, the shelter has raised about $1,000.
