A local elementary school is closed down, and forced to temporarily transfer it’s student’s after mold was discovered in its basement.

According to the superintendent of the Bald Eagle Area School District, mold was found in Howard Elementary School Wednesday.

While crews work to get that mold cleaned up, Howard Elementary students will be bussed to Wingate Elementary and meet their usual teachers in the cafeteria.

Clean up and early air quality tests will continue through Friday.

A second round of updated tests are scheduled for next Monday, September 10.
