A Somerset man has been arrested for a DUI.
Police were called to 127 W. Patriot Street Thursday for an unresponsive person in a car. Upon arrival, the car was running with a turn signal activated.
The man, later identified as Scott R. Kennedy, 27, was slumped over in the driver’s seat.
Kennedy awoke when police applied stimulus, and police found that he was sweating, flushed, and very confused. His pupils were glassed over and constricted and he acknowledged that he was using meth.
Police said Kennedy was in possession of a small amount of crystal meth, a loaded syringe, and a glass smoking device with marijuana residue.
After a further investigation of the car, police found additional pieces of drug equipment and two knives.
Kennedy was taken to Somerset Hospital by EMS due to his condition.
He will be charged with DUI, pending the outcome of a blood analysis, possession of drugs, and possession of drug equipment.
