The Johnstown Area Heritage Association is raising money to pay for electricity and repairs for the colorful lights that illuminate the Stone Bridge.
Starting in 2011, the Johnstown Area Heritage Association put up tens of thousands of LED lights on the bridge, which light up every night for three hours.
The group is running low on funds and is asking for donations through a local fundraiser.
“It’s one of the icons of Johnstown,” said Mike Brosig, Co-Chair of the Stone Bridge Lighting Project. “We get a lot of positive comments on it. It kind of represents the vibrancy of the community.”
The group hopes to raise $30,000.
