The Northern Elk Food Bank has operated out of the Johnsonburg borough building for decades, but the directors are now searching for a new home.
Lewie and Jennifer Dush tell WTAJ News that the locks on the doors were changed without warning last week and they were told they had to move out.
The couple said about 125 families in Johnsonburg depend on the food bank and they were also shut out. Distribution day was scheduled for last Thursday.
As the directors look for a new location they still have many unanswered questions.
We are still working to contact Johnsonburg borough officials as well as their attorney who served the eviction notice.
