Whether you want to hit the trails, go for a ride, or bust a move, you can do it all this summer.

The 2nd annual Rec the Alleghenies active outdoor expo showcased local clubs and hobbies to get involved with.

The expo took place at Greenhouse Park in Conemaugh Township, Somerset County on Saturday.

There were live demonstrations of yoga, Zumba, biking and kayaking.

“The weather’s gorgeous, so we thought, ‘Why not? Give it a try,” said Samar Khouzami, a Richland Township resident who joined the yoga demonstration.

The expo started last year thanks to a $5,000 grant from the Community Foundation for the Alleghenies. It’s organized by Alleghenies Unlimited Care Providers.

“There’s activities here for everyone, no matter your age, no matter your ability,” said Tasha Adams, the AUCP development and media coordinator.

This year, more groups and locals attended looking to make a splash or strike a pose this summer.

“I can do hiking, I can do biking, I can do yoga, so it’s fantastic,” said Adib Khouzami, Samar’s husband.
