STATE COLLEGE, Pa. (WTAJ) — This week is National Nursing Home Week, and in Centre County today, more than 100 people in health care gathered at the Toftrees Resort for an educational event.
Congressman Glenn Thompson was present to speak about the importance of continuing to support healthcare providers throughout advances made in healthcare technology.
“It’s been amazing to see the advancements, the changes, the innovation, the technology, the skill sets,” said Congressman GT Thompson, and he went on to say, “and that’s all good…I don’t think we ever stop in an industry and certainly this one, we shouldn’t stop looking at opportunities to improve itself.”
Congressman Thompson spoke before Congress recently to honor all those in Central Pennsylvania who serve in nursing homes and similar facilities.
