Mark your calendars! Folks in Altoona will have the opportunity to enjoy A Universal Yuletide, celebrating diversity and the holidays in an upcoming concert.
The Blair Concert Chorale and the Blair Concert Chorale Children’s Choir will perform their annual concert on December 15 at 7:30 p.m. at the Wolf Kuhn Theatre, Miscianga Family Performing Arts Center at Penn State Altoona.
The Blair Concert Chorale will sing songs from all over the world, exploring how different cultures observe customs and traditions for the upcoming holidays. They will sing a Buddhist mantra, an African-American celebration song, three Hebrew songs, a Chanukah Prayer for children, as well as traditional songs from European countries.
The Children’s Choir will be singing songs from England, France, Australia, Italy, Africa, Puerto Rico, Israel, and the United States.
Tickets for the concert are $15 for adults and $8 for students. Tickets are available at Thompson Pharmacies on Chestnut Avenue and in Hollidaysburg, and at the door before the performance. Tickets are also available online at AltoonaTickets.com.
