This month a local company is celebrating 50 years in business.
Scientific Systems Inc. started in 1967 by Andy Charney, 92, who is a WWII Navy veteran.
His company distributes pressure systems for medical companies.
It started with only three employees and today has over fifty.
Charney said he’s proud to be a part of a business with strong local roots.
“I’m most proud of where we are now, and our footprint out there in the world for such a small company,” Charney said.
Charney said in the next 50 years he hopes his company continues to expand.
