Mount Aloysius College hosted their annual safe trick or treat night Tuesday night for area children.

Kids were invited to trick or treat through the dorms on campus.

College students handed out candy and toys from their dorm rooms as a part of the teal pumpkin initiative, which provides allergy friendly treats to children.

Organizers say it’ a great way to get involved with the community.

I think the kids have a lot of fun, because it’s trick or treating but it’s interactive. A lot of these children may not have ever seen a residence hall before, but this is a great time for them to get inside our halls and meet the students and get a little taste of what a college campus is like while they’re trick or treating,” said Sarah Klawinski, director of student activities.

There was also pumpkin painting, story-time, and games for all who attended.
