The National Great American Campout is underway at Camp Anderson in Tyrone.

Campers are invited out to spend the weekend under the stars for just $10 a person, but anyone under 8 years old is free.

Organizer’s say it is tent only camping, and firewood will be provided.

Campers can either purchase a meal for $4 or bring their own to enjoy in the pavilion or picnic table areas.
