On average, a person will spend $82 on food and drink products for the Big Game, according to an annual survey done by the National Retail Federation and Product Insights & Analytics.

Some local businesses focused on carry-out orders, like Primanti Brothers.

“We’ve had a lot of people calling in, placing their to-go orders ahead of time, ready to pick up right before the game. We still have people coming in, as well, to dine in,” Scott Scheeler said.

Others, like the folks working at Co”brh”s, committed to hours and hours of deliveries.

“The people that order early called days ago, and they had their time slots set so, they didn’t have to wait and they come in and their orders are ready,” Steve Horton, owner of Co”brh”s, said.

The boost in business meant adding a lot of extra hands and preparations.

“We had a double staff in there today, kitchen wise and in the pizza area and probably 11, 12 oclock we started making up pies and putting them on racks and premaking the pies and everything,” Horton said.

Both restaurants said Sunday night was one of their craziest of the year.
