A local boy had a special experience in New York City last week.
Jeffrey Millard, who has Down Syndrome, recently had the opportunity to help kick off Down Syndrome Awareness Month by appearing in a video that was shown in Times Square.
“He enjoyed it. He loved meeting the other kids,” said Melinda Millard, Jeffrey’s mother. “He had a soccer game with some of the other kids there in the field. A lot of people out there with information for us. Just a great time for all.”
Jeffrey’s photo was selected from more than 2,000 entries worldwide.
