A little red mailbox bringing hope to Johnstown celebrated its birthday.
The Little Red Mailbox located at Point Park in Johnstown has a journal inside where anyone can write their thoughts, hopes or encouraging messages.
Thursday, people gathered at the Cambria County Library for a letter-writing event: Snail Mail-a-Palooza. They wrote letters to loved ones, friends or mentors as a way to spread positivity.
“We just wanted to have a little celebration just to celebrate hope in Johnstown and keep the ambition going and the passion of the community,” said Tasha Adams, the founder of the Little Red Mailbox in Johnstown.
Since the mailbox was installed in Johnstown in 2016, three journals have already been filled with notes of love, hope and encouragement.
