One day before the Pennsylvania Primary, several Republicans are calling for a Democratic audit.

Senators Joe Scarnati, Jake Corman and Pat Browne sent a letter to Auditor General Eugene DePasquale requesting a full audit of all funds associated with the 2016 Democratic National Convention, including but not limited to $10 million of state resources.

DePasquale responded saying, “Once I receive the grant documents from the governor’s office I will direct my staff to review the materials and then I will announce any next steps. The bottom line is the public has the right to know that their state tax dollars were spent appropriately.”
