With St. Patty’s Day this weekend, officials are reminding folks of the dangers of drinking and driving.
The Blair County DUI Taskforce will be out this weekend to keep folks safe on the roads.
Those assigned as designated drivers should not be drinking any alcoholic beverages.
The Blair County Sheriff said if locals plan their way home beforehand, there’s no reason why someone impaired should get behind the wheel.
“Now, with the uber, with making plans with friends, staying where you’re gonna be at, make that plan to stay there or, like I said, if you need to, you call, we have the cab services, but especially with uber now, there’s really no excuse,” Sheriff James Ott said.
He went on to say the taskforce is all about preventing DUIs before they happen.
