The Lady Blue Devils had a special send off Sunday before their PIAA State Championship game in Hershey.
The community was waiting for them outside of Bellwood-Antis High School, cheering for them as they got on the bus.
The Lady Blue Devils were escorted through town by Bellwood Police and The Excelsior Fire Department.
We caught up with a big fan who says they believe in the girls.
“You better believe it we will be there. Oh they’re going to win, I know they are,” said Bill Segal.
This is the first time 28 years that the basketball team is going for the State title.
The 1990 team brought back a silver ball in 1990.
The girls take on West Catholic Monday. Tip off is at noon.
