Youth Sidewalk Sale Day, as part Kids Day for the Central Pennsylvania Festival of the Arts, saw plenty of vendors selling everything from homemade slime to hand drawn paintings and everything in between.

The age group maxes out at 17, and we caught up with one local artist who’s appreciating his last year as part of selling his art on Kids Day.

“I’ve been doing it for the past five years so it’s been really really nice to do this,” Drew Spielvogel said. “I’ve loved doing it and I’ve made a lot of money and sold a lot on kids day, but it’s okay, I’ve been doing it for a while so I’m fine.”

Drew plans to attend art school next year.

On the lower end of the age spectrum, we saw kids selling all kinds of products to make money for a good cause, which has one mother proud.

“Kids are super creative when it comes to that, actually Caroline has purchased things in the past that specifically went to non-profit charity for others,” Jen Leopard said

“I think it’s great for the community, it gives the kids the opportunity to to do activities sell their crafts, without the really larger crowds that come later in the day, and gives them the chance to be highlighted by the community”
