In a Federal District Court Tuesday, a judge ruled to release the man accused of threatening to kill Vice President Mike Pence.

Police say 22-year-old William Dunbar was on duty at the Army National Guard Training facility in Richland Township when he allegedly told other guardsmen on multiple occasions “If someone pays me enough money I will kill the Vice President.”

The judge said there is not enough evidence to prove the Somerset County native poses a flight risk or a risk to others.

He granted Dunbar release as long he remains inside his home except for legal or mental health appointments, ordered by the judge.

Prosecutors have 24 hours to file an appeal, which Dunbar will remain in the Cambria county jail until then.
