In an effort to curb violence, Johnstown City Council members talked about ways they can get kids involved in the city’s government.
At Wednesday nights Johnstown City Council meeting, member said they would look into starting a junior council and see what kinds of ideas young people will share.
Mayor Frank Janakovic says there is a real spirit of cooperation.
“It wasn’t a blame game, it was looking for solutions and how we can work together, whether its parents, children, neighborhoods,schools, city, all working together,” said Janakovic.
Also on the agenda, a vote for the acting city manager.
However, since they didn’t have one to present, they voted the resolution down.
