Infant cough syrup, made by DG Health, is being recalled over concerns of a bacterial contamination.
The children’s cough syrup comes in a 2-ounce bottle in a carton labeled DG™/health baby Cough Syrup + Mucus.
Children who take the medicine can be sickened with two forms of Gastrointestinal illnesses. Some of the symptoms include vomiting and diarrhea.
Infants, young children and others with weakened immune systems are the most at-risk if exposed.
Production has been suspended while the manufacturer investigates the source of the contamination.
The syrup is sold at Dollar General Stores across the country.
