Indiana County bus driver killed

A school bus driver from Indiana County was killed in a vehicle crash Tuesday.

Police say 34-year-old Sarah Slovinsky was traveling southbound on Route 85 at Dogwood Circle in Rayne Township at 4:11 p.m. Tuesday, when a pickup truck crossed the center line, hitting the bus.

Damage to the school bus and Dodge 3500 pickup was severe.

Slovinsky was entrapped and had to be freed by firefighters. She was pronounced dead by the Indiana County coroner.

The investigation is ongoing, as officials work to reconstruct the crash scene.
