If you’re planning a trip on Interstate 80 through Centre County, you may have to go a little further for a pit stop.
The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation is closing the rest areas on I-80 east and westbound near exit 147 in Snow Shoe.
PennDOT leaders said the closures are an attempt to conserve water and will last until further notice.
Then nearest rest areas that will remain open are in Jefferson County if you’re traveling westbound and Clinton County if you’re heading east.
