Hundreds gathered Friday night in Blair County to sideline pancreatic cancer.
The Griffith Family Foundation hosted the 9th annual dinner and fundraiser at The Casino at Lakemont.
Nationally known speakers joined local advocates, researchers and supporters.
“Cancer is something we need to acknowledge and not ignore,” Kay Kays, a pancreatic cancer survivor and advocate, said. “To work with youth on what cancer is, how we can fight it and move forward in faith is an excellent message.”
The Griffith Family Foundation started in 2012 and has donated more than $250,000 to pancreatic cancer research efforts.
