The Humane Society of Cambria County has officially adopted a Quality of Life Policy to ensure a lifetime commitment to all animals that come into our care.
Euthanasia is not an option we take lightly and we will no longer euthanize any animal simply due to limitations in time or space.
Euthanasia will only be performed when it is the humane option for an animal who is suffering mentally, emotionally, or physically or poses a danger to other animals, themselves or people, and lacks a reasonable quality of life.
In order to support this mission and improve animal welfare for all of Cambria County we are putting new programs in place and will need the full support of our community.
Community members can help our efforts through adoptions, volunteering, sponsorships, and donations. Every animal deserves respect, dignity, and compassion.
