UPDATE:
Police are still investigating after an attempted burglary turned into a shooting death.
According to state police at Lamar and the Clinton County District Attorney, Cody Englert of Jersey Shore forced his way into a 4th Street home in Pine Creek Township just before 2 a.m. on September 13th.
That’s when a resident of that home pulled out a gun, and shot the 30 year old suspect.
He died at the scene.
We’re told that the resident who pulled the trigger is cooperating with officials.
According to the Centre Daily Times police are now looking into whether that shooting was justified.
No arrests have been made at this time, and police say they don’t plan to release any more information unless someone is officially charged.
