HOLLIDAYSBURG, Pa. (WTAJ) — A big celebration was held for a Hollidaysburg woman who just turned 100 years old.

Mildred “Millie” Hepner was joined by her friends at St. Leonard’s Home in Hollidaysburg on Tuesday, June 4, for a special birthday party. She told us what she thinks is the secret to a long life.

“Take it as it comes,” she explained. “Deal with whatever it is as it comes and don’t forget the Lord is there.”

It was a big day. The Mayor of Hollidaysburg, Joseph Dodson, even stopped by for a special proclamation.

“As the mayor I have the privelage to declare June 4, 2019 Millie Hepner day here in the Borough of Hollidaysburg,” Dodson told us.

If you ask Millie, she’ll tell you 100 feels good.

“Well I guess I will just try for another 100,” she smiled.

Happy birthday Millie! Here’s to many more.
