Hernandez waves preliminary hearing

A man who sparked a nation wide Amber Alert will be sent back to Connecticut.

Oscar Hernandez was arrested in Centre County after leading Police on a high-speed chase on Interstate 99, which ended in a crash.

Hernandez is accused of killing his girlfriend and kidnapping their 6-year old daughter. He faces several charges in Centre County. He waived his preliminary hearing and his extradition warrant Wednesday morning. 

Hernandez will be transported back to Connecticut where he faces murder, criminal attempt of murder and assault charges. Connecticut authorities plan to pick him up on Friday.
