The Brookville Police Department is warning folks about social media posts that could help hackers steal your information.

They say posts that ask questions like “what was your favorite teachers name” or “who was your childhood best friend” may claim to be part of a game to get to know you better but they’re acutally designed to steal the answers to your security questions and hack things like your bank account.

Officials say the best way to avoid getting your accounts hacked in that way, is to be careful what you share on social media.
