Grocery shopping is now a virtual experience for Centre County residents.
‘Instacart’ is an online delivery service, working with local grocery stores and retail shops; from their computer or smart phone, customers can stock their cart online and the service will bring it to their door.
Giant, CVS, Petco and Wegmans have teamed up with the delivery service, which is bringing nearly 100 jobs to the area.
“So you can say hey, I would like my groceries, I’ll be home at 5:30, I want it delivered between 6 and 7… And you can get it delivered between that time frame,” George Shotz, operation manager for Instacart, said.
