The Greater Johnstown Water Authority lifted the boil water advisory just before 1:30 pm Thursday. It is now safe to drink the tap water.
The advisory went into effect on Tuesday, June 13th, after a water main break near Horner Street and Hickory Street.
The pipe was fixed Tuesday afternoon, but the authority kept the boil water advisory in place for 48 hours while they tested the water quality.
Water test results from 11 separate locations came back clean of any bacteria or contaminants.
