The Greater Johnstown School Board accepted the resignation letter of former president Richard Unger at the board’s meeting Tuesday night.
Unger came under fire last year for nepotism, after his daughter was hired by the district.
The board appointed a new president and vice president at the meeting Tuesday night.
Board members will have 30 days to appoint a ninth member to fill the empty position.
